Description:
Richter7 is looking for a director of website development. This person will be responsible for the development of websites, micro sites, landing pages, viral sites and other internet assets. Applicants must possess an extremely high level of skill in both the creation of business solutions and the technical development of web assets. Specific skills needed are these: 

Required skills:
1) Applicant must be skilled and creative in defining the right content, site architecture, functionality, and user experience for each business situation. They must be experienced in writing project proposals, developing site maps and wire frames. They must have a solid understanding of on page SEO and how to create an SEO friendly website. Experience in usability testing is also desirable.

2) Applicant must understand web programming and database programming issues on a deep level. Applicant should understand the following languages: html, XML, CSS, JSP, action script (Flash), PHP, ASP, .net, Ruby on Rails, SQL and MySQL, etc. Though this job does not require them to write code, they must be able to advise client’s on the appropriate technology platform for their business needs, recognize potential integration problems, and converse effectively with programmers as they build the web assets. Having had experience writing code is not required, but is a plus.  

Required experience:
This is a team leadership position. Leadership and communication skills that can help our team win web development projects is important to us. Richter7 is widely regarded as a creative firm with a particularly strong esthetic sensibility, so a love of fun and/or sophisticated graphic design fits our culture. This person would report to Richter7’s director of online marketing.
